Priority Pass now has more than 1,000 airport lounges

During the last 12 months, Priority Pass has opened 130 new airport lounges, Airport-World is reporting. The network now counts more than 1,000 lounges, which are spread across 130 countries and 500 cities worldwide.

In the Asia-Pacific region, Priority Pass added 32 lounges over the last 12 months, including 11 lounges in China (notably Chengdu and Zhengzhou), as well as major cities of Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Taiwan, Myanmar and Cambodia.

There were 47 new lounges in Europe, 12 in Africa and 10 new lounges in the Middle East. In Russia, 31 lounges were added in the past 12 months, including the opening of prominent lounges in Moscow Sheremetyevo, Vladivostok and Novosibirsk.

South America also grow with 18 new lounges added during the past 12 months, including new lounges in Mexico, Argentina and Brazil.

Finally, United States got 6 new Priority Pass lounges, one of which is located in Boston.

“It is fantastic to see the number of lounges within our network continuing to grow at pace,” Stephen Simpson, global marketing director for Priority Pass, said in a statement. “The team has worked tirelessly to ensure Priority Pass members have access to the largest network of lounges across the globe and we are delighted to be able to offer access to over 1,000 lounges in key destinations across the globe.”

Priority Pass has the largest lounge portfolio of any independent provider. It comes as an included benefit with select premium travel rewards credit cards such as the Chase Sapphire Reserve and Citi Prestige.
