There are not that many cards that reward dining purchases; TD Cash Visa® Credit Card will do just that, offering 2% cash back on purchases at fast food and “regular” restaurants, convenience store, and coffee shops, whereas all other purchases get you 1% cash back. Actually, the card offers points instead of money, but these points are super-easy to transfer into good ol’ cash. It also comes with 0% intro APR on balance transfers for the first 12 months — after which APR goes to 13.24%, 18.24%, or 23.24% — and has no annual fee. There is, however, a sign-up bonus worth $200. Here are the details…
Highlights
- $200 sign up bonus
- 2% cash back on dining, coffee, and convenience store purchases; 1% back on other purchases.
- 0% intro APR for balance transfers for the first 12 billing cycles; then 13.24%, 18.24%, or 23.24% variable APR
- No annual fee
How It Works?
Cash back / points: The TD Cash Visa rewards users with points, but the card is advertised as a cash back card. For each dollar spent on dining, coffee, and convenience store purchases — you get 2 points, and a single point per dollar spent on all other purchases. When redeeming, 100 points are worth $1, so you will earn 2% cash back on dining categories, and 1% on everything else. There is no limit to the number of points you can earn, and they do not expire.
Redeem: Points can be redeemed at $25 for statement credit, direct deposit, or as a check; as well as for merchandise, travel, and gift cards with popular retailers. Also, users can redeem for round-trip airfare starting at $250, and hotel rooms or car rentals at $150.
Sign up bonus: 20,000 points, worth $200, after spending $1,500 within the first 3 month days. ($200 cash back value).
Credit education tools: Called VantageScore and provided by credit bureau TransUnion; it allows users to monitor and manage their credit score.
Visa Signature benefits: Including concierge service, access to special events, shopping discounts, auto rental collision damage waiver, and more.
APR: 0% introductory APR for balance transfers for the first 12 billing cycles, after which APR goes to 13.24%, 18.24%, or 23.24% (variable).
Availability: The TD Cash Visa is only being offered in 16 states along the east coast of the U.S.
