This Card Rewards Your Stays at Hyatt

Hyatt hotel

New York, USA - April 06, 2008: Waiting for a taxi outside the Grand Hyatt hotel on East 42nd Street on a wet morning.

The Hyatt Credit Card comes with a generous sign-up bonus that includes 2 free nights at Hyatt hotels, along with 5,000 points after adding an authorized user to the card. It enables users to easily earn points: 3 points per dollar spent at Hyatt hotels; 2 points per dollar spent at restaurants and airline ticket purchases directly from the airline and at car rental agencies; and 1 point per dollar spent on everything else. Also, as part of the deal, cardmembers get 1 annual free night at a Category 1-4 property and automatic Hyatt Gold Passport Platinum status. The annual fee is $75 and there is no foreign transaction fee.

Highlights

How It Works?

Points: Earn 3 points for every dollar spent on purchases at Hyatt properties; 2 points for every dollar spent at restaurants, on airline ticket purchases directly from the airline and at car rental agencies; and 1 point per dollar spent on all other purchases. Points do not expire as long as your Hyatt Credit Card account is open. You can redeem them for free stays starting at 5,000 points per night.

Sign-up bonus: 2 free nights at Hyatt hotels anywhere in the world, after you spend $2,000 on purchases in the first 3 months after account opening. Also, there is a 5,000 points bonus after adding an authorized user to your account and make a purchase with the card during the first 3 months as a cardmember.

Annual bonus: 1 free night every year after your cardmember anniversary at any Category 1-4 hotel.

Automatic Hyatt Gold Passport Platinum status: Includes a number of perks such as a 15% point bonus on eligible spend, complimentary in-room premium Internet access, and late checkout, to name a few.

Travel & shopping benefits: These would include Baggage Delay Insurance (up to $100 a day for 5 days), Lost Luggage Reimbursement (up to $3,000 per passenger), Trip Cancellation/Trip Interruption Insurance (up to $5,000 per trip for pre-paid, non-refundable travel expenses such as passenger fares, tours, and hotels), Purchase Protection (120 days against damage or theft up to $500 per claim and $50,000 per account), and Price Protection (you can be reimbursed the difference up to $500 per item, $2,500 per year).

Visa Concierge: Available 24/7, the service lets you find tickets to sports and entertainment events, make dinner reservations and even get help sending the perfect gift.

Annual fee: $75. And we think it’s well worth it for frequent Hyatt guests.

Is This The Card For You?

Yes, if you often stay at Hyatt hotels. That free stay per year alone will justify the annual fee. Also, you’ll get other goodies as part of the included Hyatt Gold Passport Platinum status. Plus, let’s not forget the valuable sign-up bonus, and the fact that there is no foreign transaction fee — both of which make for a that much sweeter deal…
