Managed by Wildlife Reserves Singapore, Jurong Bird Park is a landscaped park, built on the western slope of Jurong Hill, occupying area of 202,000 square metres (50 acres). It is the world’s largest bird park in terms of number of birds and second largest both in number of bird species and land area. There are 5,000 birds of 380 species in Jurong Bird Park, 29 of which are of threatened species. It’s an impressive place that attracted 900,000 visitors in 2010.

Underwater World

If you’re looking for different kind of animals, hop over to Underwater World, which is an oceanarium located on the offshore Singaporean island of Sentosa. Opened in 1991, it has more than 2,500 marine animals of 250 species from different regions of the world. When you buy a ticket, you can also access the ever beautiful Dolphin Lagoon at Palawan Beach. Also while on Sentosa, you may also want to check out the Wave House.

Universal Studios

Another attraction located within the island of Sentosa is Universal Studios Singapore. The “one-of-its-kind theme park in Asia” is 20 hectares (49 acres) in size, featuring 24 attractions, 18 of which are original or specially adapted for this park. There are seven themed zones to visit, including Hollywood, New York, Sci-Fi City, Ancient Egypt, The Lost World, Far Far Away and Madagascar. Moreover, the park also hosts the world’s tallest pair of dueling roller coasters that are based on Battlestar Galactica, a castle from the world of Shrek and Monster Rock, and a live musical show featuring the Universal Monsters.
