There are many things you could do to come up with extra cash to pay the darn rent. Some are better than others…
First let’s look at the things you could, but should AVOID doing, to get the money:
Do NOT Do This
- Sell plasma – it sounds kind of awful, and I guess you could do it once or twice, but after that… you don’t want to deal with needles on a regular basis, right?
- Ask parents for a loan – not as awful, but again — not a sustainable way of getting the money every month.
- Throw a garage sale – not a bad idea if you have things you seldom use. This take you a full day or two of your time. And you can’t do this forever.
- Take your clothes to the consignment store – somewhat related to the previous point… The better way is to sell your old clothes online.
- Mow your neighbors’ lawns – not a bad idea per se, but it could hardly get you enough cash. And you will spend a ton of time doing it.
- Search for money around your home and car – and you could easily find $20 or even more. There are spare quarters all around you, and you should put them in a single jar. but what about next month?
- Apply to various Craigslist gigs – they are often time consuming and seldom pay a lot.
Nah, there’s gotta be a better way…

With this economy, that’s more normal than ever. You can read more about this at the e-Home Rent To Own website. They could help you get your very own home. Check ’em out.
