How It Works?
Sign-up bonus: 35,000 miles after spending $1,000 in the first 3 months of account opening.
Earn miles: Get 2 miles per dollar spent on Hawaiian Airline purchases, and 1 mile per dollar spent on everything else. Also get 5,000 annual bonus miles after $10,000 in annual spend.
Redeem: Points can be redeemed for free Hawaiian Airlines flights starting at 20,000 miles. There are no blackout dates.
Companion roundtrip coach ticket discount: Get one-time 50% off companion roundtrip coach ticket between Hawaii and North American, and $100 off each account anniversary.
First checked bag is free: That’s the benefit for the primary cardmember when he/she uses the card to purchase eligible tickets directly from Hawaiian Airlines.
APR: It is either 16.24%, 20.24% or 25.24% variable, based on your creditworthiness. If you end up with the highest APR, you should do you best not to carry too much balance from one month to the other.

- No foreign transaction fee – this card is obviously made for travel so you can use it in other countries without paying what’s typically 3% per transaction.
Cons
- Potentially high APR – if you don’t have the excellent credit rating, you could end-up paying a ton on any balance you may carry. So make sure to pay everything you owe in full and on time.
- Annual fee – although it’s reasonable and justified, we would like to see it being waived in the first year. That would make for an even sweeter deal.
